DESCRIPTION: The e-business team is part of a
worldwide Lotus Notes team providing a net.compute Lotus Notes service and is responsible
for the design, deployment and support of our clients Global Notes Architecture (GNA). The
environment comprises more than 50 Notes domains, running in 12 data centres supporting
more than 100,000 users. In addition the team is responsible for the ongoing development
of the net.compute Notes service, working closely with the US in deploying new
technologies such as Lotus Notes release 5 and Sametime. The working environment is high
pressure and fast moving. People need to be able to accept changing priorities and react
swiftly.
RESPONSIBILITIES: There are vacancies within the team for experienced Lotus Notes
administrators. Responsibilities include the support and administration of the existing
Lotus Notes service, participation in projects to further develop the service and
investigation into new technologies.

JOB DESCRIPTION: An MVS Operations Analyst is required by our clients Operations
Support Group (OSG) supporting 3 major clients.
OSG employs approximately 42 Operations Analysts who work on a mixture
of application development projects, batch production support and operational tool support
(e.g. OPC/ESA, Endevor, RMDS, Netview/DM, Beta 44/45/93 etc). OSG is currently made up of
3 teams. Each team supports a specific customer account and is managed on a day to day
basis by an Operations Support Team Leader. Opportunities exist for both junior and senior
Operations Analysts within these teams.
Education and training is provided for the ideal candidate to enhance
his/her skills and career options within the department. Future development within this
large organisation is available and ongoing reviews are held to progress further
advancement.
OSG is part of the UK Operations Support Group. As such, opportunities
will also exist, for experienced Operations Analysts to undertake work on a variety of
projects throughout the country.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
 | Work with application development project teams, assisting them in the design, build,
testing, implementation and maintenance of JCL/OPC batch applications. |
 | Manage the operational tasks associated with the implementation of batch systems into a
production environment. |
 | Participate on a standby rota providing out of hours support for both batch applications

DESCRIPTION: Our client supports and manages many IT solutions offered
internally. These include Services (e.g. RETAIN, RCMS, etc) and some other IGS services
such as BMS. The departments role is to "front" the service to the Customers and
the Service Owner. We are therefore involved in Problem and change management, performance
and capacity management, Service level Management, managing and scheduling all processing
on the IT service, managing the service levels, managing critical situations, and
installation of releases. This is done across various IT platforms, predominantly MVS, but
also a growing and critical number of AIX based services.
JOB DESCRIPTION: To assist in the Management of the AIX IT Services supported by the
department, to the agreed Service Levels. This would include: liasing with Customers and
suppliers to ensure adequate service management processes are followed to achieve the
desired service level, as described in the business description above. To achieve this,
the person would need to:
 | Understand the AIX IT environment. |
 | Understand the applications we are running in this environment. |
 | Become familiar with the processes, procedures and tools necessary to Service |
 | Manage the application. |
 | Understand who suppliers are and develop relationships with them. |
RESPONSIBILITIES:
