JOB DESCRIPTION: The technical solution architect will focus on developing solutions and estimating effort required to meet customer requirements involving integrated packages - PRISM, Manugistics, GPS and CODA - being rolled out across AS/400, NT and RS/6000 platforms for a fast moving, very hands on, new Strategic Outsourcing customer. The individual will be required to support an end to end design, which may grow to cover new business areas and / or integration with or replacement of legacy systems.

JOB TITLE: Senior IT Architect

DESCRIPTION: The main areas covered are IT Strategy, IT Architecture, AD Transformation and Rapid Application Development. The role is to work on engagements for IBM's clients, usually at the business or IT executive level. Although most of the engagements will be of short duration, the focus will be to build trusted client relationships in order to leverage large services projects. Applicants must have a good understanding of technology and its application, including IT processes, IT management or application development with a strong track record of senior management influence. There must also be clear evidence of delivery of successful IT projects, specifically within the ERP package area.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

DESCRIPTION: The Back Office Group is responsible for providing delivery services –business requirements through to systems integration - to clients in the area of back office services. The area of back office relates to any set of, business and technical transactional processing, covering all activities relating to Wholesale Banking, Global Custody, Brokerage Services, Private Client Services, Asset and Portfolio Management. Business and technical processing relates to financial activities that occur between the point of capture through to the point of settlement and/or maturity, excluding activities relating to risk management, for securities, derivatives, futures and funding services as well as the management of liquidity across all the stated business areas.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for defining and selling technical solutions (application and infrastructure) for Client business problems in the Financial Markets back office area, designing the application and infrastructure architectures, and providing technical management, direction and quality assurance to implementation teams.

EXPERIENCE:

bulletExperienced technical professional with proven track record in the back office of one or more major Financial Markets Institution or consultancy (especially equities back office). He/she should have at least ten years of experience in the Industry.
bulletHe/she must have managed the definition of at least three significant back office architectures, and had technical management responsibility for at least one successful major implementation of a back office system. In scope those implementations must have addressed either the whole or a significant part of the back office processes, and must have involved, - Application and/or infrastructure architectures, - Integration with existing external and internal systems, - Application and integration of a wide variety of products, technologies and services

SKILLS REQUIRED:

bulletExtensive knowledge of systems, architectures, system management, data management and integration, networking.
bulletExperience with application design techniques.
bulletGood understanding of the business processes in the back office and related areas.
bulletGood (written and oral) communication and marketing skills, and proven ability to present and sell his/her ideas to business users.

Experience in the area of Straight Processing and/or the implementation of business applications or package solutions would be considered an advantage, as would experience of more than one market (business line or country).

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the daily collection processes to enable accurate measurement and reporting of multi-platform systems. They will be responsible for the databases used, the scheduling of the Batch processing and interfacing with multiple departments to ensure process and data integrity. The job will also have level 2 responsibility for data collection and Business as Usual work for UBR

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: Service Analyst with a small team managing a wide variety of internal MVS and VM development and test systems in support of production applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The normal service management disciplines of problem and change management, performance and capacity management, service measurement and reporting etc. Responsibilities also include liaison with users in setting up and running the services, liaison with TE, Hardware and Facilities, and various internal groups and departments.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

bulletExperience with MVS, TSO, CICS, IMS and with hardware technology.
