BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: Network design and planning with varied workstack including SNA, TCP/IP and TN3270 gateways on both national and international networks. SNA skills specifically required. Plenty of opportunity to develop new skills in networking and take on more responsibility for project work. You will be responsible for taking requirements from the workstack and carrying them through to completion working with other members of the team and related groups with Network Services.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: Development of Network Management Tools. The successful applicant will be involved in design, development, testing and support of CDIM which is a significant application delivering management of changed data across multiple MVS systems. Some level of customer contact will be required in the support area and there may be an opportunity to become involved in customer installation work and marketing support.. CDIM is both sold to customers in the UK, and used internally and by Network Services.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Other than a proven track record, education to a degree standard or equivalent experience, drive and enthusiasm, innovation, good communication skills, commitment, logical reasoning, commercial knowledge, resourcefulness and flexibility.

Willingness to work in a small committed team. Ability to handle customer relationships, good presentation skills would be an advantage.

JOB TITLE: Midrange Analyst / Design Team leader

JOB DESCRIPTION: Role out of IT infrastructure and applications in Europe to aggressive time-scales. Application development (including interfaces) is being undertaken by our client and a number of third parties, our client have the responsibility for the integrated system.

The project requires a UNIX specialist to replace the knowledge, which the Manugistics supplier currently provides. As well as a strong UNIX (including UNIX RS/6000) skills, the ideal candidate will have some AS400 or NT exposure. Knowledge of supply chain management and forecasting/planning tools are an advantage.

A keen working knowledge of Visual Basic, or a desire to develop this skill will be required. Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong customer facing skills, be able to work under their own initiative and work to tight deadlines.

SKILLS REQUIRED: RS/6000 UNIX, some AS/400 or NT, customer facing experience, working knowledge or desire to learn Visual Basic.

DESIRABLE: Experience of forecasting and planning tools, in particular Manugistics Team Leading.

JOB DESCRIPTION : Working mainly on a RISC/6000 and AIX platform you will carry out evaluation, testing, integration, installation, configuration, tailoring & support of Campus LAN Network Management Tools such as Netview, Nways Campus Manager, NWays ATM Campus Manager etc... You will have opportunities to get involved in design work and to influence strategy and establish standards especially in the NT arena as well as AIX.

RESPONSIBILITIES : The above is in support of UK and International Commercial Campus Network. Management Solutions from Outsourcing and NetWorkStation Management business and also for the internal account which is undertaking a major upgrade program in all EMEA locations.

SKILLS REQUIRED: Experience of installing & tailoring software. RISC/6000 & AIX experience with some knowledge in Networking & Tools such as Netview, NWays, Tivoli etc... Good communicator and able to understand and establish project requirements and keep requestors informed of progress and issues. NT experience & Tivoli is desirable but not essential

JOB DESCRIPTION: Two Unix Operations Analysts are needed to support a new business requirement. These Operations Analyst will form part of a new UNIX batch scheduling function that has been requested. Initially, the Operations Analysts will be recruited, trained and tasked managed. Ultimately, however, they will form part of a cross-platform (MVS/UNIX).

RESPONSIBILITIES: The design, set up and management of UNIX Shell Scripts, UNIX batch scheduling using the COS Batch/Maestro/Tivoli scheduling tools and the management and distribution of UNIX code. The development of UNIX batch scheduling standards and procedures.
