JOB DESCRIPTION: Role out of IT infrastructure and applications in Europe to
aggressive time-scales. Application development (including interfaces) is being undertaken
by our client and a number of third parties, our client have the responsibility for the
integrated system.
The project requires a UNIX specialist to replace the knowledge, which
the Manugistics supplier currently provides. As well as a strong UNIX (including UNIX
RS/6000) skills, the ideal candidate will have some AS400 or NT exposure. Knowledge of
supply chain management and forecasting/planning tools are an advantage.
A keen working knowledge of Visual Basic, or a desire to develop this
skill will be required. Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong customer facing
skills, be able to work under their own initiative and work to tight deadlines.
SKILLS REQUIRED: RS/6000 UNIX, some AS/400 or NT, customer facing experience,
working knowledge or desire to learn Visual Basic.
